Edlin Leslie Sr. Disaster Relief Fund
Wednesday, June 4, 2008: Belize has had the unfortunate experience of massive flash flooding over the past weekend. To date there have been 4 confirmed deaths and three
people are missing due to the effects of this massive flooding. The areas hardest hit, according to recent reports, are villages such as Sittee River and Gales
Point in the Stann Creek district in Southern Belize, which remain submerged in up to fifteen feet of water.
Two major bridges have been washed away, leaving no road access to these rural areas.
The Blissfulsage Foundation has activated the Edlin Leslie Disaster Relief Effort, coordinated and organized by the Blissfulsage foundation.
